5 cops among 9 injured in road accident in J&K

A gypsy in the cavalcade of Deputy Inspector General, Rajouri-Poonch, had a head on collision with a Bolero vehicle coming from the opposite direction on the highway at Dhundhak area of Rajouri district, a police officer said.

Nine people, including five cops and four civilians, were injured, he said, adding that three cops were critically injured and have been shifted to a hospital in the district.

The mishap took place when DIG Rajouri-Poonch Danish Rana along with his security was on his way to Poonch district from Rajouri in connection with the visit of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah.
