5 cops suspended for negligence in sand transportation in UP

Five police men were suspended for their alleged "negligence" in duty regarding sand transportation from the Ganga canal at Jatwada village in the district, the police said today.

The police personnel suspended yesterday include one head constable Vipin Sharma and four constables Naveen Tomar, Rahul Kumar and Narayan Singh and Rahul Singh, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Anant Dev said.

"They were suspended after complaints of negligence in their duty on sand transportation," Dev said.
