5 held for illegal liquor sale in Faridabad

In its drive against sale of illegal liquor, Faridabad police has conducted raids at many places in the district and arrested five persons allegedly involved in the sale of illicit liquor.

Ravi, resident of a slum near sector-10 here was arrested yesterday for allegedly selling country-made liquor without any license or permit, police said.

13 bottles of liquor were also recovered from his possession, they said.

In a similar case, Kedar Singh, resident of Parvatia Colony was arrested and 150 quarters of country-made liquor were recovered from his possession, police said.

In another case, Pradeep Kumar, resident of sector-21 A was caught drinking liquor at a public place, they said.
 

Rahul, resident of Sainik Colony Faridabad was also arrested by team of SGM Nagar police station when he was allegedly selling liquor without license and permit, police said, adding that 12 bottles of country-made liquor were recovered from his possession.

In similar cases, Sandeep Singh and Prem Chand were also arrested by the police and 25 bottles of country-made liquor were seized from them.

Cases have been registered against all the offenders under relevant sections of the Excise Act, police said.
