Five kg of contraband suspected to be heroin has been recovered from the wheel of a bullock cart near a border outpost along India-Pakistan border in Ferozepur sector.
"BSF troops performing gate management duties yesterday in the area of responsibility of Border Outpost Jagdish, recovered five packets (5 kg) of contraband suspected to be heroin from the bullock cart tyre of a farmer," said a BSF official.
Farmer was identified as Karnail Singh, resident of village Gandu Kilcha in Ferozepur, the official said.
BSF said it has recovered 17.22 kg of heroin so far this year.
