In a drive aimed to reunite run-away children with their families, Crime Branch of Delhi police has successfully found five kids staying in children's homes and has sent them to their families.
A team of Anti Human Trafficking unit checked two children's homes in Delhi and after scrutinising records, zeroed in on the children whose details were dubious.
"First, these children were taken into confidence and after compassionate persuasive conversation, they revealed clues about their native places. Thereafter, their parents were contacted with the help of local police and thus 5 children were sent back to their families," informed Ravindra Yadav, Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime) Delhi.

Police said that they found all the 5 run-away boys were not happy with their parents primarily because of scolding.
"Out of these 5 rescued boys aged between 10 to 17 years, 3 were staying at 'Salaam Balak Trust, DMRC' children home near Tis Hazari Courts and two were staying at 'Bal Adhikar Sashaktikaran Kendra' children home Prahladpur," a senior police official said.
"During this special drive, we are checking each and every child in the children homes and making all out efforts to get any clue about their parents/home so that they can be restored properly," he said.
Under this drive named as 'Operation Milap', total 31 children have been rescued and reunited so far within 15 days of its launch.
"Further, we are in touch with local police of all districts of Delhi to screen and document all the children residing in shelter homes, railway platforms, bus stands, roads, religious places," the official added.
