Five members of a family were today killed and 12 injured when the jeep they were travelling in rammed into a truck from behind in Rajasthan's Sirohi district.
Dayaram Jogi (45) and his family were returning to Pali from Sirohi after solemnising the marriage of his son Dinesh when the jeep he was driving rammed into a truck on the Beawar-Pindwara Highway, police said.
The groom's parents, Dayaram (45) and Mani (42), died on the spot. Others killed were identified as Ganesh Ukaji, Khomaram and Babulal.
The injured are undergoing treatment at a local hospital, while two persons were referred to Udaipur, SHO Sirohi Kotwali Hansha Ram said.
