5 killed, 2 injured in road mishap in UP

Five persons including two children, all residents of Delhi, were today killed while two others injured when their car hit a divider on Yamuna Expressway, police said.

The incident occurred near Chandpur Khurd village under Naujheel police station here when the car enroute to Delhi from Agra hit the divider and overturned.

While Rekha (30), Raju (32) and Ravinder (36) died on the spot, Mayank (10) and Seema (8) succumbed to injuries on way to a hospital, Dy SP Rajendra Kumar Singh said.

The injured persons-- Himanshi (33) and Dipanshu (14) have been rushed to Kailash Hospital Noida, the Dy SP said.
 

The condition of Dipanshu, who is admitted in the ICU, is stated to be serious, according to the hospital staff.

All of them were residents of Shahdara in Delhi.
