Five people were killed and 22 others injured in a collision between a tractor-trolley and truck in Mujaria police station area here, police said today.
The incident took place near Mukaia Pul on the Mujaria- Bilsi road as the tractor-trolley, carrying the passengers, rammed into a truck carrying liquor, SSP Saumitra Yadav said.
While four occupants of the vehicle died on the spot, the other one died during treatment, he said.

The victims were all in in the age group of 30 to 40 years and identified as Madan Lal, Rum Singh, Vikram, Jai and Sripal, he said.
The victims were returning from cremation ceremony at the Ganga Ghat nearby, he said.
The bodies have been sent for postmortem and four of the 22 injured, stated to be serious, have been referred to Bareilly, the SSP said.
The truck driver fled the scene, the SSP added.
