Four women were among five persons who were killed and four others got injured when their vehicle rammed into a stationary lorry on Outer Ring Road stretch on the city outskirts this morning, police said.
The accident occurred at around 6 AM when the ill-fated four-wheeler, carrying nine persons from Gondia district of Maharashtra, hit the lorry from rear side near Tukkuguda in neighbouring Ranga Reddy district, they said.
"Five persons including four women died on the spot in the mishap while four others who sustained injuries were shifted to a local hospital," a police official said.
Pahadishareef police is further investigating.
