At least five people, including a minor, were today killed and four others injured when a car collided head-on with a van near Kot Karoran village on Bathinda-Amritsar highway here, the police said.
The car occupants, who belonged to Mumbai, were going to Amritsar while the van was going towards Faridkot, they said.
The deceased were identified as Rupinderpal Singh (60), Gurmeet Kaur (50) and driver Tarsem Singh (34), the police said.
Gurnoor Singh (6) and van driver Satnam Singh (35) were two other causalities in the accident, they said.
The injured were admitted to Faridkot government hospital, the police said.
