Five persons, including two minors, were killed and two others seriously injured when a sand-laden truck overturned on their car here, police said.
The car was on its way to Bangarmau last night when the truck driver, coming from the opposite direction, lost control over the vehicle following which it overturned, killing four members of a family and one other on the spot, they said.
The deceased were identified as Hiralal (40), his wife Nirmala (35), daughter Vaishnavi (11), son Suraj (9) and Sarvan (45), police said.
The injured were admitted to a district hospital, they said.
