Five persons have killed in three separate road accidents in the district since last night, police said.
Police said one Ballu (40) and his father Rafiq (65) died after their motorbike hit a nilgai and fell on the road near Behta village under Chandpur police station this afternoon.
The father-son duo died on the spot, police added.
In another accident, Sahdeiya (65) and her granddaughter Rita (18) were killed when their bicycle was hit by a speeding truck near Chandipur bridge under Husainganj police station last night.
Meanwhile, Raj Kumar (40) was run over by a truck when he was returning home on a bicycle after closing his barber shop in Bindki police station area last night. He was killed on the spot, police said.
Efforts were on to trace both the trucks, police said, adding that the bodies had sent for post-mortem.
