5 killed in car-tanker collision in Rajasthan

Five persons, including two children, were today killed in an accident when the car they were travelling in collided head-on with an oil tanker near Lunkaransar town on Bikaner-Suratgarh highway.

According to the Lunkaransar police, the accident took place near Amanda Hotel in which Dharampal (35), Rajaram (50), Pinky (28), Ankit (12) and Shiv (10) died on the spot.

The car was badly mangled in the accident which led to a jam on the highway.

Traffic on the highway was normalised later.

A case was registered against the tanker driver and bodies have been kept in the mortuary of a government hospital, the police said.
