5 killed in road accident in Pakistan

At least five persons, including two army soldiers and a child, were killed and 30 others critically injured when a bus fell into a ravine in Pakistan's northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province today.

The bus, travelling from Rawalpindi towards Skardu in Gilgit-Baltistan region, met with the accident in Mansehra district, Dawn reported.

Five persons including two army soldiers and a child were killed and 30 others critically injured in the accident, officials said.

Eyewitnesses said the accident was caused due to over-speeding. The injured passengers have been shifted to the nearby hospital.

Six soldiers were reportedly injured in the accident. The soldiers were travelling to Skardu to report for duty.
