5 more NSF officials pledge support for Chautala

Chautala, current IOA vice-president and chairman of Indian Amateur Boxing Federation (IABF), today got support from Wushu Federation of India scretary general Manish Kackar, Table Tennis Federation of India secretary general Dhanraj Chaudhary, Modern Pentathlon Federation of India secretary general Namdev Shirgaonkar, Netball Federation of India president Vagish Pathak and Gymnastics Federation of India president Jaspal Singh Kandhari.

"The administrators of the sporting factions from Wushu Federation of India, Table Tennis Federation of India, Modern Pentathlon Federation of India, Netball Federation of India and Gymnastics Federation of India respectively have decided to extend unconditional support to Abhay Singh Chautala for the post of president of the Indian Olympic Association during the forthcoming IOA elections," the five officials stated in a letter today.

 

"It is needless to say that time has come for a new dynamic person to lead Indian sports, particularly at a stage when Indian sportsperson have won six medals at the Olympics.

"Our support to him is based on several key factors that would help in improving the standard of the overall sporting culture in the country," the letter read. ATK
