Five eateries of reputed brands will soon be operational at the New Delhi Railway station, offering passengers multiple cuisines including continental.
Passengers will be spoilt for choice as continental food, bakery goods and South Indian meals will be on offer at the five food outlets to come up at Platform one of the station, said a senior Northern Railway official.
Two separate joints for vegetarian and non-vegetarian items will also be the part of the food plaza, he said.

Reputed brands which have chain of outlets across the country have shown interest to open shops here, he said.
Each eatery will be given about 20 sq m area and the contract will be for five years.
According to the contract, the operator will have to give Rs nine lakh a year or 12 per cent of the annual sale turnover, whichever is the higher, to the Railways.
New Delhi station, one of the busiest stations in the country, gets a footfall of about five lakh people daily.
Currently, a railway-run catering service and a Chinese outlet are operational at Platform one. There is also a Jan Ahaar outlet at Platform 16.
"But these are not sufficient and we also want to provide variety to our passengers. Our efforts are to ensure quality food to the ever-increasing number of people at the station. It is a challenge to make it available round-the-clock. We will ensure quality food and high hygienic and cleanliness condition at the food joints," the official said.
