Five packets of heroin were seized in a joint operation of the Border Security Force and the Narcotics Control Bureau near the Indo-Pak border today, an official said.
The weight of packets was about 2.50 kg and the packets were seized in the area of responsibility of Ferozepur sector, he said.
Based on a specific input provided by the Narcotics Control Bureau in Amritsar, a special joint search operation was launched, he said.
During the search operation, the team recovered five packets of heroin buried under a tree in an agricultural field, the official added.
