5 schools along LoC reopens after 7 months in J-K

The government schools along the LoC were reopened, seven months after they were closed due to threat of shelling and firing, in Noushera sector of Rajouri district, officials said today.

Five schools, which were closed due to heavy shelling and firing seven months ago, have been reopened in Noushera sector, they said.

The schools which were reopened including government middle school, Jangarh, Primary school, Jangarh, middle school Sarya, Primary schools at Baskhi morh and Mohitra, located along the Line of Control and falls within firing and shelling range of Pakistani troops, the officials said.

The schools were closed in May as most of the 3,000 people living in these areas shifted to safe shelters, away from firing and shelling range, they said.
