5 senior BJP leaders to look after 21 Odisha LS seats

Much ahead of the next general elections, the BJP today picked up five senior leaders to nurture the 21 Lok Sabha constituencies in Odisha.

The five senior leaders are BJP National General Secretary Anil Jain, Union HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar, Union Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Union Tribal Affair Minister Jual Oram and the party's Odisha in-charge Arun Singh.

The decision in this regard was taken on the second and the concluding day of the BJP's two-day state executive meeting here.

"I have been given responsibility of four Lok Sabha constituencies in Odisha. They are Sambalpur, Balangir, Bargarh, and Kalahandi," Anil Jain told reporters after the meeting.
 

Javadekar has been given the charge of Bhubaneswar, Puri, Berhampur, and Nabarangpur Lok Sabha constituencies.

Pradhan would look after Jajpur, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack and Kendtrapara Lok Sabha seats while Oram has been given responsibility of Sundargarh, Koraput, Kandhamal and Aska.

Odisha in-charge Arun Singh would be in-charge of Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore and Bhadrak Lok Sabha seats.
