Five people were injured
today when an elected panchayat member and his brother allegedly shot bullets during a village football game involving their children at Khaskumrakhali village near here in South 24-Parganas district.
The police said a complaint was lodged against the panchayat member Nawaz Molla and his brother Shufiq Molla alleging that they shot bullets accusing that their children were beaten up during the game.
The accused were absconding and the injured villagers were admitted to a local hospital, the police said.
