5 UDLA militants surrender

Five members of the militant outfit United Democratic Liberation Army (UDLA) have surrendered before the police in Assam's Hailakandi district, the police said today.

The militants surrendered at a programme organised by the police last night at Charaibak area near the Assam-Mizoram border.

They deposited two handmade guns and five iron bombs.

The surrendered militants are Joinaluddin Laskar, Abdul Rahim Laskar, Jiabuddin, Hussain Ahmed and Dilwar Hussain.
