A five-year-old girl was allegedly sexually assaulted by a shopkeeper's son when she had gone to buy milk at Roopgarh village in Haryana's Jind district, police said today.
The accused identified as Deepak (18) took the girl inside his shop and sexually assaulted her today, Deputy Superintendent of Police Pawan Kumar said.
The girl then told her grandmother about the incident and thereafter her family lodged a complaint with the police.
The accused has been arrested, the police said.
