5-yr girl found raped and dumped near Metro station

A five-year-old girl was allegedly abducted and raped by unidentified persons who later dumped her near a Metro station, police said today.

DCP (East) Maheshwer Dayal said the girl and her brother had yesterday gone to a place at Sikanderpur, where some unknown persons abducted and raped her.

The girl's family approached the police, who later found the victim in a semi-conscious state near Dronacharya Metro station in the night.

The victim was taken to a Gurgaon hospital where doctors referred her to Safdarjung hospital in Delhi.

Doctors treating the rape victim at Safdarjung hospital said the girl was "stable" and "out of danger".
 

The victim underwent operation for internal injuries.

"The patient is stable and out of danger. She has been operated on late night," Medical Superintendent of Safdarjung Hospital, Dr B D Athani said.

Meanwhile, the station house officer of DLF police station said an FIR has been lodged and cops are looking for leads.
