As the hills have been experiencing heavy rains so the river Kuchidiana is overflowing and has inundated 500 houses in Khoirbari area of Nagrkata Block, the sources said.
The Block Development Officer (BDO) and other officials have rushed to the area to provide relief to the affected people, the sources said adding the district administration was making efforts to shift the people of the inundated houses to higher places.
