Twenty-six sacks of adulterated 'boondi' and 500-kg of spurious 'khoya' were seized in a raid at a wholesale market here, police said today.
Acting on a tipoff, a team of district and food and drugs department officials, last evening raided the Hatiya market and found the adulterated products being sold there.
The seized items have been sent for laboratory tests, officials said, adding that those selling the adulterated products had left the goods and fled the scene yesterday when the raid began.
