5000 bags of cement sold in name of leading companies seized

Police today seized around 5000 bags of cement packed in the name of leading companies like Lafarge and Birla from a godown in Patna town.

Acting on a tip-off received by Senior Superintendent of Police Manu Maharaj, a police team raided a godown in Chamanchak locality and seized 5000 sacks of cement fraudently packed in the name of leading names like Lafarge and Birla.

Four persons involved in the trade managed to flee, a release from SSP office said adding a case has been registered in this connection with Ramkrishnanagar police station.

Police was looking for the absconders and gathering information regarding more such godowns, the release added.
