51 Indians reported dead in Kuwait in July

A total of 51 Indians died in Kuwait last month, including 20 who lost their lives under unnatural circumstances, the Indian Embassy in the Gulf nation said.

The embassy said in a statement that 31 people died of natural causes.

According to the statement, mortal remains of 44 persons were transported to India, while seven were buried in Kuwait.

The local authorities allow for burial of mortal remains of Muslims and non-Muslims in Kuwait.

From July 1, the embassy has been providing updated information about the death of Indian nationals in Kuwait on its website on a daily basis.

The Embassy said it has been extending all possible help in completion of formalities for early transportation of the mortal remains to India.
 

About 7.5 lakh Indian expatriates live in Kuwait, according to the embassy.
