Altogether 52 people fell ill after taking 'prasad' at a house in Barogharia under Dhupguri police station in Jalpaiguri district, the police said today.
The 52 people took the 'prasad' after a Narayana puja at about 10.30 PM last night and got indisposed shortly after that.
While 48 people were admitted to Dhupguri hospital, four were referred to Jalpaiguri Sadar Hospital, the police said.
The condition of the four was serious, attending doctors said.
