The contraband is worth Rs two crore in the international market, Deputy Superintendent of Police Surendra Prasad Singh told newsmen today.
The seizure was made late last night when the six men, all residents of Jhirnia village of adjoining Chatra district, were waiting for a train to Punjab.
Acting on a tip-off, a police team arrived on the spot and arrested the men who were carrying the narcotics in seven bags and were waiting near the station, he said.
The kingpin of the gang, however, managed to escape.
