Altogether 54 candidates have so far filed their nominations for the fourth phase of Lok Sabha elections to be held on May 7 in West Bengal, Assistant CEO Amitjyoti Bhattacharya said here today.
The six parliamentary constituencies going to the polls in fourth phase include Jhargram, Midnapore, Purulia, Bankura, Bishnupur and Asansol.
"With this, so far 11 candidates have filed their nominations from Purulia and ten from Asansol, followed by nine each from Jhargram and Bishnupur, eight from Bankura and seven from Midnapore parliamentary constituencies," he said.

Meanwhile, 30 candidates have so far filed their nominations for the fifth and final phase of Lok Sabha elections to be held on May 12 in the state's 17 parliamentary constituencies, Bhattacharya said.
