In a major reshuffle, the Punjab government tonight transferred 54 police officers in the state.
The officers transferred were one IGP, 10 Deputy Inspectors General (DIGs) and 43 of the rank of SSP, SP, Assistant Inspector General (AIG).
Disclosing this here, a spokesperson of the Chief Minister's Office said that Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal cleared the proposal mooted by the home department regarding the transfers/postings of these officers late this evening.
