While ordering jail term for convict Ranga Ram, Additional Sessions Judge (ASJ) Vijay Kumar Dahiya also imposed a fine of Rs 7,000 on him.
"Sexual violence degrades and humiliates the victim and where the victim is a helpless innocent child, it leaves behind a traumatic experience," said the judge while sentencing the convict.
"In the instant case, the offence for which the convict is being sentenced, is grave, heinous and utterly abominable. Such an act of perversity has to be dealt with strictly and sternly," the court added.
The court sentenced the man, dismissing the defence counsel's plea for leniency to him and saying that the offence committed by him is very serious as he treated the minor girls as "objects to fulfill his sexual desire".
The order of the court came on a complaint filed by one of the minor girls' brother, who had caught the man trying to his sister. PTI HMP
