A 55-year-old man allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself, police said today.
The deceased is identified as Vedprakash Chandila of Badoli village, police said, adding, he was rushed to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
According to a complaint filed by his family members, one of Chandila's neighbours, along with a police officer and an SDO of irrigation department had filed a false case against him (Chandila).
Depressed over constant harassment, Chandila took the extreme step, the complaint said.
The investigation into the case is on, police said.
