With 34 people infected with dengue in Mizoram since October 25, 58 dengue cases have been detected in the state since February this year, Integrated Disease Surveillance Program (ISDP) State Nodal Officer Dr Pachuau Lalmalsawma said today.
Lalmalsawma told PTI that of the 58 patients, only two persons got infected outside the state.
Of the persons infected in the state, there were cases from rural areas, prompting the state government to discontinue screening of passengers at the lone Lengpui airport near Aizawl from October one last.

No one has died of the disease in the state and all the patients have been cured, he said.
The government established Sentinel Site at the Aizawl Civil Hospital and the District Hospital in south Mizoram's Lunglei town where samples of suspected dengue patients were tested with Elisa Reader.
