The 58th Grammy Awards did not give singer Natalie Cole a separate tribute and now is at the receiving end of backlash from celebrities and fans on Twitter.

Unlike music legends like David Bowie, Maurice White, Glenn Frey, and Lionel Richie, the late star's contribution to music was noted in the Grammys in Memoriam segment rather than a single tribute to Cole.

"We lost so many greats but Natalie Cole 1st African American to win Best New Artist deserved a tribute #Grammys #BHM," actress Holly Robinson Peete tweeted after the awards show.

Chris Witherspoon echoed similar sentiments, tweeting "Natalie Cole... 9 Grammys and only gets a photo in a remembrance montage. David Bowie... 1 Grammy and he received a 7 minute tribute #GRAMMYs."

Along with Peete and Witherspoon, fans also aired their concerns on the micro-blogging site.
