A local court here today extended till January 10 the remand of 59 Sri Lankan fishermen, who were arrested by Coastguard between September and November last year for fishing in Indian waters.
Judicial Magistrate Dharman extended the remand of the fishermen, lodged in the Central Prison at Puzhal in Chennai, through video conferencing.
The fishermen were detained on different dates during the months of September, October and November last year.
