The 5th Asian School Boys Hockey Championship will begin on April 2 at the Aishbagh stadium here.
"The fifth Asian School Boys Hockey Championship (under 18) is going to begin at Aishbagh stadium on April 2," Madhya Pradesh School Education Minister Vijay Shah told reporters here today.
When asked that the turf on which the matches will be played was torn, Shah said he is going to seek a report from the experts before start of the play.

"If we don't get a proper report, the matches won't be played at Aishbagh," he added.
However, the Minister did not disclose where the matches will be played if not at the Aishbagh stadium.
Asked why the championship is not being played at other advanced hockey grounds here, he said Aishbagh has been picked up after taking into consideration different aspects.
Meanwhile, Indian School Hockey Team head coach Narendra Saini claimed that the turf was open from one joint but has been repaired.
"It has already been repaired," Saini told PTI.
"I think it is polytan turf. Replacing the turf was not an overnight affair as it needs involvement of experts from abroad," he added.
Students from China, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Sri Lanka, UAE, Nepal besides India will take part in the tournament.
The final will be played on April 11.
