Jammu and Kashmir State Vigilance Organisation (SVO) today registered a case against six persons including four senior officials of Education department for making fake appointments in Budgam district.
"A case was registered against six persons including four senior officials of Education department after an inquiry revealed that they hatched a criminal conspiracy and allowed the private beneficiaries to join government services as class fourth on the basis of fake appointment and withdrew their salaries," a spokesman of the SVO said.
He said the case was registered in police station Vigilance of Kashmir under various sections of Prevention of Corruption Act and Ranbir Panel code.
Those booked are the then Chief Education Officers Ahmadullah Owesey and Nissar Hussain, then headmaster, government high school Zagoo-Beerwah Gazala Jabeen, the then Principal Government Higher Secondary School Chrar-e-Sharioef Haseena Firdous and private beneficiaries Gulzar Ahmad Mir and Abdul Hamid Dar, both residents of Beerwa.
