Six police personnel, including a woman inspector, were injured in an attack by a mob as violence erupted during an anti-liquor rally on the International Women's Day in Odisha's Kendrapara district.
The mob went berserk as locals, including women, took out an anti-liquor campaign at Namatara village as part of women's day observance, Kendrapara SP Satish Kumar Gajaviye said.
As the procession approached an IMFL shop in the heart of the village, the mob vandalised the liquor shop.
