Six criminals have been arrested
and 80 live cartridges and Rs 43,000 in cash were seized from them in the district by a joint team of police and anti-terrorist squad, officials said today.
Following a tip-off, the team arrested Islamuddin, Nasruddin, Bhanupratap, Raghuveer, Ramchandra and Ajay Pratap yesterday.
Eighty live cartridges, Rs 43,000 in cash, a motorcycle and an SUV were recovered from their possession, police said.
Various criminal cases, including smuggling of arms, are pending against them at different police stations. The accused are being interrogated, police said.
