Six CRPF personnel on way for election duty were injured when their truck turned turtle in Bandipora district of north Kashmir, police said today.

The CRPF personnel were on way to Bandipora town, 55 kms from here, from Sumbal village for election duty, a police spokesman said.

Three constituencies of Bandipora district are going to polls along with 12 other Assembly seats in the first phase of the five-phased elections in Jammu and Kashmir next week.

The spokesman said the driver of the truck, carrying the CRPF personnel from Sumbal village to Bandipora, lost control near a petrol pump at Chewa last evening.

All the six injured personnel were shifted to hospital for treatment, he said.
