At least six persons suffered burn injuries after they came in contact with a high-tension power line in Jaithal village in neighbouring Bundi district, police said Tuesday.

The six injured, two of them critically, were immediately rushed to hospitals in Kota, they said.

The incident took place late on Monday night after a 40-foot long iron pole with a fluttering flag accidentally touched the 1100 kV high-tension power line passing overhead, said Gendoli police station ASI Bhanwar Lal Meghwal.

The six persons, all residents of Jaithal village, were suffered electric shocks while removing the iron pole with Tejaji flag which they had erected on the occasion of Tejadashmi on last Wednesday.

The critically injured were identified as Kanhaiyalal and Rajmal Dhakad and they are undergoing medical treatment at a private hospital in Kota while four others are admitted at MBS hospital, the ASI said.
