Six persons were injured in a clash which took place between two groups after one side's goat strayed into the other side's field at Nai Nagla village in Shamli district.

Jhinjhana police station outpost incharge Krishan Kumar said, trouble arose when the goat of one person identified as Bhura entered into the field of another person named Intazar last evening.

Following this, Intazar objected and confronted Bhura, he said.

The argument between the two led to violent group clashes in which fire arms were used and stones pelted, he said.

Police rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control, Kumar said, adding, security has been tightened in the village and extra police and PAC personnel have been deployed in the area.

The injured were shifted to hospital, police added.
