At least six persons, including two women and a child, were killed and three others injured when a car carrying them rammed into a truck near Anand town in the district tonight.
The incident took place close to the exit toll plaza of Anand town near Ahmedabad-Vadodara Expressway, police said.
"An Eeco car carrying nine people was heading to Anand from Vadodara. After crossing the Anand toll plaza at Samarkha village, the driver lost control and rammed into a truck going ahead of it," Anand SP Ashok Yadav said.

Due to the impact, six persons died on the spot, while three others were rushed to a nearby hospital in Karamsad.
"Out of the six, two were female and one was a child. We are yet to identify them. We got to know that the car belong to a resident of Vadodara. We have sent the injured to Karamsad-based hospital and started further investigation," Yadav said.
