6 killed, 30 injured in road accident in Maharashtra

Six persons were killed while 30 others injured in a road accident near Yelwadi village on Beed-Ahmadnagar road here this morning, police said.

35 people from Dhangar Javlaka village of Patoda tehsil were going to Pandharpur in Solapur district this morning in a tempo, police said.

Driver of the tempo lost control over the vehicle and it overturned as it hit a two-wheeler coming from the opposite direction on Beed-Ahmadnagar road, they said.

Navnath Bayaji Pavale (65), Raosaheb Aba Dhavle (50), Radhakishan Bhauba Sable (50), Sahebrao Kisan Dalvi (60) and Parubai Karpe (70) of Dhangar Javlka village and Sagar Ramdas Rakde (13) of Ahmednagar district were killed.
 

Sagar was going with his uncle on the two-wheeler.

The injured are undergoing treatment at Beed civil hospital, Jamkhed hospital and Ahmednagar civil hospital, police said.
