Six persons, including two children, were today killed and nine others injured in a collision between a six seater vehicle and a car near Dabhadi in Nashik district, police said.
The mishap occurred on the Malegaon-Satana road this afternoon when the vehicle, carrying passengers, collided with the car, which was coming here, an official attached to the Chhavani police station said.
The six seater was going to Satana. While five persons were killed on the spot, one person died on the way to a hospital, the officer said, adding nine person were injured who have been admitted to a hospital here.
Four of the deceased were identified as Sachin Patait (4), Sushant Patait (2), Pawan Sawant (24) and Raju Shinde.
Two of the deceased are yet to be identified, he said.
A case under relevant sections of IPC was registered and investigations are underway, police said.
