6 killed in Pak violence

At least six persons were killed and two others wounded in two separate incidents of violence in this northwestern Pakistani city today, police said.

Three persons were killed and two others wounded in a bloody clash between rival party workers when workers of the PML-N and PPP opened fire over hoisting of party flags on Charsadda road in Peshawar district.

According to police, they opened fire on each other after harsh verbal exchanges. A father and son were among three killed in the firing.

Meanwhile, another three persons of a family were shot dead in Yaqatoot area.

According to SHO Yaqatoot police station, accused Mohammad Ghani shot dead three persons including Islam Shah, his wife and daughter over a domestic dispute in Afridiabad area. The accused later escaped.
