Six militants were killed and three others arrested during an army raid in Shiek Zuweid city in Egypt's restive North Sinai.
The militants from Ansar Beit Al-Maqdis group were killed when they opened fire on security forces during the raid, a military source said yesterday.
The six militants including Younes Selim el-Qurm, one of the important members of the group, who is accused of a series of attacks on police and soldiers in Rafah.

He was also accused of shooting down a military helicopter and killing its entire crew in the area around Sheikh Zuweid city in North Sinai, near the border with the Gaza Strip in January.
The source said that the army had arrested there militants and destroyed 8 houses, 12 shelters and three vehicles that were used by the militants.
