6 nabbed in fake Indian currency racket

A six member gang involved in a fake Indian currency notes racket has been busted here and money with a face value of Rs 3.11 lakh recovered from them, police said today.

Police nabbed the gang following the arrest of two men when they tried to exchange a fake Rs 1,000 note at an eatery here last night, police said.

On information given by them, four more persons were apprehended.

Fake currency with a face value of Rs 3.11 lakh was recovered from them, police said, adding they were later remanded to judicial custody.
