6 persons killed in road mishap in Rajasthan

Six persons were today killed and one was injured when a pickup vehicle and a truck collided head on in Sanderao village in Pali district of Rajasthan, police said.

The incident occurred around 9:45 am when a pick up vehicle, which was carrying a group of people from Harji village in Jalore district to Sumerpur, collided with the truck coming from the opposite direction, they said.

Drivers of both the vehicles died on the spot along with four others travelling in the pickup, they said.

The deceased were identified as Goparam (25), Sonaram (30), Kukaram (35), Ramaram (55), Lalram (25) and Madho Singh (30), they said.
 

One injured identified as Ramesh was rushed to a nearby hospital whose condition is stated to be critical, they said.

The bodies were sent to a nearby government hospital for postmortem, they said.
